Hits and Giggles is a weekly singing group, for fun and wellbeing - All voices welcome. The group is designed to be fun, warm, and genuinely enjoyable with a format that is informal and participatory, no experience or musical ability is required.

Songs will be drawn from familiar popular music, primarily from the 1950s onwards, with emphasis on artists, bands, and cultural moments members will recognise. The working repertoire includes material by artists such as: 

Billy Fury, Tom Jones, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Who, Dusty Springfield, Cilla Black, Sandie Shaw, Lulu

David Bowie, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Cat Stevens, T/Rex

Fleetwood Mac, Queen, The Pretenders, Blondie. Slade

Annie Lennox, Sade, Tracey Chapman

Oasis, Blur, Pulp, Nirvana, Crowded House

Adele, Amy Winehouse, Plan B, Ed Sheeran to name a few.

Musical theatre, Rock and Indie Rock, golden oldies, country music additions on occasion.

Suggestions for songs from participants are welcome as sessions progress.

The song list will be sent out prior to each session so that attendees can familiarise themselves with the soundtrack in preparation should they desire.
