Each month, excepting December and January, There will be two walks to choose from:

  • An urban walk of around two hours in the Brighton and Hove area focusing on the historical development of that area. Urban walks will be held on the first Monday or Tuesday of each month.
  • A walk on or close to the South Downs, lasting up to four hours, and looking
at what evidence remains to tell us how people lived their lives in the past in the South Downs. South Downs walks will be held on the 3rd Monday of each month.

Walkers should be fit enough to cope with the terrain and weather conditions, and have appropriate clothing and footwear.

On the South Downs walks, a picnic lunch should be taken.

Public transport will be used to get to the and from the finish point.

Members have to sign up for each walk as numbers are limited to 14 for the urban walks, and 20 for the South Downs walks.

Please email me for further details including the provisional programme.
